• Make sure you have the collar correctly fasten around your pet’s neck.
• Install the transmitter in a place that will not effected by the weather.
• If you do not have a rechargeable wireless fence unit it is recommended that you have back up batteries in storage.
• Dog sizes do matter; the last thing you want is a wireless system for a Chihuahua used for a pit-pull.
• Always mark the containment area with training flags so you know exactly where the containment area starts and ends. This will not only help you out but the pet as well.
• It is advised that you take the special collar off the dog if you bring him inside the house as household appliances may set off the collar.
• If you have a steep slope in your yard signal might be dropped so make sure the signal is still working.
• Do not train your puppy unless he is over 6 months old or pregnant.
• Establish the correct range and correction level when you first set up a wireless fence system to assure the safety of your pet.
